Description

Copycat Ronto Wraps bring the iconic flavors of the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge snack right into your kitchen. A savory combination of roasted pork, sausage, tangy slaw, and a zesty garlic sauce, all wrapped in a soft pita. Perfect for a quick lunch or themed party snack!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large pita bread rounds or flatbreads
  • 1/2 pound roasted pork (cooked and sliced thin)
  • 1/2 pound Italian sausage (cooked and crumbled)
  • 1/2 cup coleslaw (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Garlic Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, white vinegar, Dijon mustard, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper. Adjust the seasoning to taste, then set aside.
  2. Cook the Sausage: In a pan over medium heat, cook the Italian sausage until browned and crumbled. Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. Warm the Pita: Heat the pita bread in a skillet or microwave for a few seconds until soft and warm.
  4. Assemble the Wraps: On each pita, layer the cooked roasted pork and crumbled sausage. Top with a spoonful of coleslaw and drizzle generously with the garlic sauce.
  5. Wrap and Serve: Fold the sides of the pita around the filling to form a wrap. Serve immediately, and enjoy your homemade Ronto Wraps!

Notes

  • If you prefer a spicier version, you can add a few dashes of hot sauce to the garlic sauce.
  • For the roasted pork, you can use leftover pulled pork or roast a pork shoulder and slice it thinly.
  • If you’re short on time, you can use pre-cooked sausage and skip the cooking step.
  • Homemade coleslaw adds extra flavor, but store-bought coleslaw will also work if you’re in a rush.
