Description

Cranberry Brie Bites are a festive and flavorful appetizer combining creamy brie cheese, flaky crescent roll dough, and a sweet cranberry-orange sauce. These bite-sized treats are perfect for holiday gatherings and impress guests with their delicious combination of savory and sweet flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (8-ounce) tube crescent roll dough
  • Flour (for rolling out dough)
  • 6 ounces Brie cheese
  • ¼ cup orange marmalade
  • ¼ cup whole cranberry sauce
  • ¼ cup chopped pistachios, pecans, or walnuts
  • Fresh rosemary or candied orange pieces (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Oven and Pan: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 24-count mini-muffin pan with nonstick cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  • Cut the Brie: Slice the Brie cheese into 1-inch (or slightly smaller) squares. Place the Brie slices in the refrigerator until ready to assemble the bites.
  • Mix the Sauce: In a small bowl, combine the orange marmalade and cranberry sauce. Stir well and set aside to allow the flavors to meld.
  • Roll and Cut the Dough: Lightly flour a flat surface and roll out the crescent dough. Stretch it slightly to form an even rectangle, pinching any seams together. Cut the dough into 24 even-sized squares.
  • Assemble the Bites: Place each dough square into a mini-muffin cup. Add a square of Brie cheese, a teaspoon of the cranberry-orange mixture, and a sprinkle of chopped nuts. Top with a small sprig of fresh rosemary or a piece of candied orange for garnish.
  • Bake: Bake the bites in the preheated oven for 10-13 minutes, or until the crescent dough is golden brown and fully cooked.
  • Cool and Serve: Let the cranberry brie bites cool for 5-10 minutes before serving warm for the best flavor and texture.

Notes

  • For a more decadent flavor, try using a combination of pistachios and walnuts for the garnish.
  • If you want to make ahead, you can assemble the bites and refrigerate them before baking, then bake them just before serving.
  • These bites are best served warm, but they can be stored in an airtight container for up to two days.
