Description

Cranberry Brie Bites are a delightful and elegant appetizer, perfect for holiday gatherings or special occasions. These bite-sized treats feature a buttery puff pastry shell filled with creamy Brie cheese and tangy cranberry sauce, optionally garnished with nuts, rosemary, and a drizzle of honey. They offer a perfect balance of savory and sweet flavors in a convenient, elegant form.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 small wheel of Brie cheese, cut into small cubes
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped (optional)
  • Honey for drizzling (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a mini muffin tin or line it with mini muffin liners.
  • Prepare the Puff Pastry: Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Cut the pastry into 24 small squares.
  • Assemble the Bites: Press each puff pastry square into the mini muffin tin cups. Place a small cube of Brie cheese in the center of each pastry square.
  • Add Cranberry Sauce: Spoon about 1 teaspoon of cranberry sauce on top of each Brie cube. Add chopped pecans or walnuts on top, if desired, for extra crunch.
  • Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the puff pastry is golden brown and the Brie is melted.
  • Garnish: Remove from the oven and sprinkle with fresh rosemary for a burst of flavor. If desired, drizzle a little honey over the top for extra sweetness.
  • Serve: Let the bites cool slightly before serving. They are best enjoyed warm but still delicious at room temperature.

Notes

  • Ensure the puff pastry is fully thawed before use to avoid tearing.
  • For a different flavor, try using a different type of cheese or fruit preserve.
