Description

This easy Homemade Cranberry Sauce is a must-have for holiday dinners, bringing a fresh and tangy flavor to your table. Made with simple ingredients, it’s a delightful addition to turkey, ham, or any festive meal. Enhance the sauce with a hint of orange for a burst of citrusy goodness!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 12 oz fresh cranberries, washed
  • Orange peel or orange juice, to taste (optional)

Instructions

  • Combine Ingredients: In a medium pot, add the water, sugar, and orange peel or juice if using. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is dissolved.
  • Add Cranberries: Once boiling, carefully add the washed cranberries and stir. Bring back to a boil, then reduce the heat to low.
  • Cook the Cranberries: Allow to boil for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. The cranberries will begin to pop as they cook.
  • Cool the Sauce: Turn off the heat. The cranberry sauce will set as it cools.
  • Store: Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Notes

  • Adjust the sweetness by varying the amount of sugar to suit your taste.
