Description

This Cream Cheese Banana Bread is light, moist, and absolutely delicious! Infused with ripe bananas and a rich cream cheese filling, it’s the perfect treat for breakfast or a delightful snack any time of the day.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Mix in the mashed bananas and sour cream until well combined.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth.
  • Pour half of the banana batter into the prepared loaf pan. Spread the cream cheese evenly over this layer, and then top with the remaining banana batter.
  • Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

  • For best results, use overripe bananas for a sweeter flavor.
