Description

This Creamy Cajun Pasta combines succulent shrimp and spicy sausage in a rich, flavorful sauce. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or a special occasion, this dish is sure to impress with its bold flavors and creamy texture.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 sausage links (spicy, sliced)
  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sausage slices and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Sprinkle in the Cajun seasoning, then add the shrimp. Cook until the shrimp turn pink.
  • Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Stir in the heavy cream and grated Parmesan. Let it simmer for 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  • Toss the cooked pasta into the sauce, mixing well to coat. Add the sausage and shrimp back into the skillet.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley, and serve hot.

Notes

  • Adjust the level of Cajun seasoning to your taste for a spicier or milder dish.
  • For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half.
