- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 sausage links (spicy, sliced)
- 8 oz fettuccine pasta
- 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sausage slices and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Sprinkle in the Cajun seasoning, then add the shrimp. Cook until the shrimp turn pink.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Stir in the heavy cream and grated Parmesan. Let it simmer for 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Toss the cooked pasta into the sauce, mixing well to coat. Add the sausage and shrimp back into the skillet.
- Garnish with fresh parsley, and serve hot.
Notes
- Adjust the level of Cajun seasoning to your taste for a spicier or milder dish.
- For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half.
