Description

This Creamy Garlic Butter Salmon with Shrimp is a perfect dish for special occasions or a delicious weeknight dinner. It combines rich flavors and a smooth, luxurious sauce, making it an irresistible meal for seafood lovers.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Salmon:

  • 4 salmon fillets (skinless)
  • 1216 shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

For the Creamy Garlic Butter Sauce:

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley (or 1 tablespoon fresh parsley)
  • Red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

Instructions

  • Season and Cook the Salmon:
    • Season the salmon fillets with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder.
    • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Cook the salmon fillets for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  • Cook the Shrimp:
    • In the same skillet, add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside with the salmon.
  • Make the Creamy Garlic Butter Sauce:
    • Reduce heat to medium, add butter to the skillet, and melt.
    • Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
    • Stir in heavy cream, chicken broth, and Parmesan cheese. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
    • Add lemon juice, parsley, and season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir to combine.
  • Assemble the Dish:
    • Return the salmon and shrimp to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the top. Cook together for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  • Serve:
    • Serve the salmon and shrimp with the creamy garlic butter sauce over the top. Garnish with extra parsley and lemon wedges if desired.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, you can use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
  • Adjust the level of garlic and spices to your taste preference.
