Ingredients
Scale
For the Salmon:
- 4 salmon fillets (skinless)
- 12–16 shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
For the Creamy Garlic Butter Sauce:
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup chicken or vegetable broth
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley (or 1 tablespoon fresh parsley)
- Red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
Instructions
- Season and Cook the Salmon:
- Season the salmon fillets with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook the salmon fillets for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- Cook the Shrimp:
- In the same skillet, add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside with the salmon.
- Make the Creamy Garlic Butter Sauce:
- Reduce heat to medium, add butter to the skillet, and melt.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in heavy cream, chicken broth, and Parmesan cheese. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Add lemon juice, parsley, and season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir to combine.
- Assemble the Dish:
- Return the salmon and shrimp to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the top. Cook together for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Serve:
- Serve the salmon and shrimp with the creamy garlic butter sauce over the top. Garnish with extra parsley and lemon wedges if desired.
Notes
- For a lighter version, you can use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
- Adjust the level of garlic and spices to your taste preference.
