Description

Creamy Ground Beef and Bowtie Pasta is a comforting one-pan meal made with seasoned ground beef, tender bowtie (farfalle) pasta, and a rich, creamy tomato sauce. It’s a weeknight dinner hero that’s easy to prepare and sure to satisfy everyone at the table.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz bowtie (farfalle) pasta
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (if needed)
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, drained
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the bowtie pasta in salted water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat if needed.
  3. Add chopped onion and cook until softened, about 3–4 minutes. Stir in garlic, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1 minute.
  4. Pour in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, heavy cream, and beef broth. Stir well and bring to a simmer.
  5. Let the sauce simmer for 5–6 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Add cooked pasta to the skillet and stir to coat evenly in the sauce.
  7. Stir in mozzarella and Parmesan until melted and combined. Adjust seasoning as needed.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley and extra cheese if desired.

Notes

  • Use ground turkey or Italian sausage for variation.
  • Lighten it up by using half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
  • Add veggies like spinach or peas for extra nutrition.
  • Leftovers store well and reheat beautifully the next day.
