Ingredients
For the Steak:
-
1 lb flank steak or sirloin, sliced into thin strips
-
1 tablespoon olive oil
-
Salt and pepper, to taste
-
1 teaspoon garlic powder
-
1 teaspoon onion powder
-
1 teaspoon paprika
For the Pasta:
-
12 oz pasta (such as fettuccine, penne, or spaghetti)
-
Salt, for pasta water
For the Garlic Butter Sauce:
-
3 tablespoons butter
-
4 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 cup heavy cream
-
1/2 cup chicken broth (or beef broth for a richer flavor)
-
1/2 packet (about 2 tablespoons) ranch seasoning mix
-
1/2 cup grated mozzarella cheese
-
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
-
Salt and pepper, to taste
Garnish (optional):
-
Fresh parsley, chopped
-
Extra grated Parmesan
Instructions
-
Cook the Pasta:
-
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve about 1/2 cup of pasta cooking water, then drain the pasta and set it aside.
2. Cook the Steak:
-
While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
-
Season the sliced steak with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
-
Add the steak to the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes, or until browned and cooked to your desired level of doneness.
-
Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside. Tent with foil to keep warm.
3. Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:
-
In the same skillet, add the butter and melt over medium heat. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant.
-
Add the heavy cream, chicken broth, and ranch seasoning mix. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
-
Stir in the grated mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Continue stirring until the cheese melts and the sauce is smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
4. Combine:
-
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the sauce, tossing to coat the pasta evenly. If the sauce is too thick, add a bit of the reserved pasta water to loosen it up.
-
Add the cooked steak back to the skillet and toss everything together. Make sure the steak is well coated in the creamy sauce.
5. Serve:
-
Serve the creamy ranch steak and mozzarella garlic butter pasta in bowls or plates.
-
Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and extra Parmesan cheese, if desired.
-
