Ingredients

Scale

For the Steak:

  • 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, sliced into thin strips

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

For the Pasta:

  • 12 oz pasta (such as fettuccine, penne, or spaghetti)

  • Salt, for pasta water

For the Garlic Butter Sauce:

  • 3 tablespoons butter

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1/2 cup chicken broth (or beef broth for a richer flavor)

  • 1/2 packet (about 2 tablespoons) ranch seasoning mix

  • 1/2 cup grated mozzarella cheese

  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Garnish (optional):

  • Fresh parsley, chopped

  • Extra grated Parmesan

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta:

    • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve about 1/2 cup of pasta cooking water, then drain the pasta and set it aside.

    2. Cook the Steak:

    • While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

    • Season the sliced steak with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.

    • Add the steak to the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes, or until browned and cooked to your desired level of doneness.

    • Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside. Tent with foil to keep warm.

    3. Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:

    • In the same skillet, add the butter and melt over medium heat. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant.

    • Add the heavy cream, chicken broth, and ranch seasoning mix. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.

    • Stir in the grated mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Continue stirring until the cheese melts and the sauce is smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

    4. Combine:

    • Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the sauce, tossing to coat the pasta evenly. If the sauce is too thick, add a bit of the reserved pasta water to loosen it up.

    • Add the cooked steak back to the skillet and toss everything together. Make sure the steak is well coated in the creamy sauce.

    5. Serve:

    • Serve the creamy ranch steak and mozzarella garlic butter pasta in bowls or plates.

    • Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and extra Parmesan cheese, if desired.
