Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1 (4 oz) jar of pimentos, drained and chopped
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, and softened cream cheese. Stir until smooth and well-combined.
- Add the chopped pimentos, shredded cheddar cheese, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper (if using) to the mixture. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
- Season the dip with salt and pepper to taste. If you prefer a smokier flavor, you can add more smoked paprika or Worcestershire sauce to suit your preference.
- Cover the dip and refrigerate it for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together. The longer it sits, the better the flavor!
- When ready to serve, give the dip a quick stir and garnish with fresh chopped parsley for a pop of color.
- Serve with crackers, tortilla chips, or raw vegetables like carrots and celery. Enjoy!
Notes
- If you want to add an extra layer of flavor, try roasting your own red peppers for a more intense smoky taste.
- For a creamier dip, add more cream cheese or sour cream to adjust the consistency to your liking.
- This dip can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge for up to 3 days, making it an ideal dish for parties or gatherings.
- If you’re looking for extra texture, you can fold in some chopped green onions or a handful of cooked, crumbled bacon before serving.
