Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 425°F. Ensure your silicone mold is oven-safe.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, mix together the blue cornmeal, baking powder, and salt.
- Combine Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, vegetable oil, and honey.
- Mix Wet and Dry Ingredients: Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until well combined.
- Prepare the Mold: Place a silicone spider mold (with eight 2-inch x 1.5-inch slots) onto a heavy sheet pan.
- Fill the Molds: Pour the cornbread batter into the molds, filling almost to the top.
- Bake: Place the sheet pan on the top rack of the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cornbread spiders are firm and slightly golden.
- Cool and Serve: Allow the cornbread to cool before removing it from the mold. Serve alongside your favorite dishes for a fun Halloween twist!
