Description

These Crescent Roll Taco Cups are a fun and easy way to enjoy taco flavors in a bite-sized form! With a crispy, buttery crescent dough shell, seasoned ground beef, and melted cheese, these taco cups make a perfect appetizer or quick weeknight meal. Customize with salsa, cilantro, and your favorite taco toppings for an extra burst of flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces crescent dough sheet
  • 1 pound ground beef (may have extra leftover)
  • 1 tablespoon taco seasoning
  • ½ cup shredded Mexican blend cheese
  • ½ cup salsa
  • 2 tablespoons cilantro, minced

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven:
Set the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a mini muffin tin or spray it with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Prepare the Ground Beef:
Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and taco seasoning. Cook the beef until browned and no longer pink, about 5 minutes. Drain any excess fat using a slotted spoon.
  • Prepare Crescent Dough:
Unroll the crescent dough sheet and cut it into 24 squares. Gently press each square into the cups of the mini muffin tin.
  • Fill the Cups:
Add 1 teaspoon of cooked ground beef to each dough cup, followed by 1 teaspoon of shredded Mexican blend cheese.
  • Bake:
Place the muffin tin in the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the crescent dough is golden brown and firm.
  • Garnish and Serve:
Once baked, remove the taco cups from the muffin tin and top with salsa, minced cilantro, or your favorite taco toppings. Serve warm.

Notes

  • You can customize the taco cups by adding your favorite taco toppings such as sour cream, guacamole, jalapeños, or diced tomatoes.
  • If you want a healthier option, swap the ground beef with ground turkey or vegetarian meat substitutes.
  • Make sure to drain any excess fat from the ground beef to prevent soggy cups.
  • To make these in advance, prepare the taco cups ahead of time and store them in the fridge until you’re ready to bake.
