Description

Deliciously crispy baked fries tossed in garlic butter and topped with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and parsley. A healthier alternative to traditional fries, perfect as a side dish or snack!


Ingredients

  • 2 ½ lbs russet potatoes, peeled and cut into matchsticks
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 ½ tsp salt, divided
  • 1 tsp black pepper, divided
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • ⅓ cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, finely grated

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large plastic bag, combine matchstick potatoes, olive oil, 1 tsp salt, and ½ tsp black pepper. Shake to coat evenly.
  • Spread the fries on the baking sheet in a single layer, leaving space between them.
  • Bake for 35-45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy.
  • While baking, melt the butter in a skillet and add minced garlic. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Toss the baked fries with garlic butter, Parmesan, parsley, and remaining salt and pepper.
  • Serve topped with any extra Parmesan, garlic, and parsley.

Notes

  • Soaking the potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes can enhance crispiness.
