Description

These Crispy Bang Bang Salmon Bites are the perfect combination of crispy, tender salmon coated in a spicy-sweet bang bang sauce. Quick to make, and packed with flavor, they’re the perfect appetizer or main dish!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb salmon, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tsp honey
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Alternatively, you can heat oil for frying if you prefer.
  2. Season the salmon cubes with salt and pepper.
  3. Coat the salmon cubes in cornstarch, dip them into the beaten eggs, then roll them in panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Arrange the coated salmon on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden and crispy. If frying, cook until golden and crispy.
  5. In a bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and honey to make the bang bang sauce.
  6. Toss the crispy salmon bites in the bang bang sauce and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Adjust the sriracha to your preferred level of spiciness.
  • These salmon bites can be served with a side of steamed vegetables or over rice for a complete meal.
  • If you’re frying the bites, make sure the oil is hot enough to get them crispy without absorbing too much oil.
