Description
Enjoy a delightful twist on the classic Caesar salad with crispy chicken nestled inside a buttery croissant. This dish combines crispy textures and creamy flavors, making it perfect for lunch or a light dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 large croissants
- 1/2 cup Caesar dressing
- 2 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
- 1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare Chicken:
Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Coat the chicken with a mixture of breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese. - Cook Chicken:
Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the coated chicken until golden and crispy on both sides, about 4-5 minutes per side. Transfer the chicken to a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes until cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 74°C). Let rest before slicing. - Assemble Sandwiches:
Slice the croissants in half and lightly toast them. Spread Caesar dressing on the bottom half of each croissant. Layer with chopped romaine lettuce, sliced crispy chicken, and shredded Parmesan cheese. - Serve:
Close the sandwich with the top half of the croissant and serve immediately with extra dressing on the side.
Notes
For extra crunch, consider using panko breadcrumbs instead of regular breadcrumbs.
