Description

    • 10 cloves garlic
    • 1 shallot
    • 2 tablespoons water
  • For the marinade:
    • 1 pound thinly sliced beef
    • 3 tablespoons oyster sauce
    • 1 tablespoon light soy sauce
    • 1 teaspoon sugar
    • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
    • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
    • 1/2 cup flour

Instructions

  • Make garlic shallot paste: Blend garlic cloves, shallot, and water in a blender or food processor until you get a smooth paste.
  • Marinate beef: In a large bowl, combine the thinly sliced beef with the garlic shallot paste. Add oyster sauce, soy sauce, sugar, pepper, and cornstarch. Mix well and marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  • Coat beef: Sprinkle flour over the marinated beef and mix until each slice is well coated.
  • Fry beef: Heat oil in a pan over medium-low heat. Fry the beef slices in batches until the outer coating is lightly golden brown, stirring or flipping occasionally.
  • Serve: Serve hot with lime wedges and rice.
