- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)
- For the Homemade Sauce:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1 tablespoon pickle relish
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- To Assemble:
- 4 burger buns, toasted
- Lettuce leaves
- Tomato slices
- Red onion slices (optional)
Instructions
- Place shrimp in a food processor and pulse until coarsely chopped (do not over-process). Transfer to a bowl.
- Add breadcrumbs, egg, green onions, garlic, soy sauce, lemon juice, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form mixture into 4 equal-sized patties. Refrigerate for 15–20 minutes to help them firm up.
- Prepare breading stations: Place flour, beaten egg, and panko in separate shallow bowls.
- Coat each patty in flour, then dip in egg, then coat with panko breadcrumbs.
- Heat about 1 inch of oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Fry patties 3–4 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.
- In a small bowl, mix all sauce ingredients: mayonnaise, ketchup, relish, Dijon, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
- Assemble burgers: Spread sauce on the bottom half of toasted buns. Add lettuce, fried shrimp patty, tomato, onion (if using), and more sauce. Top with the other half of the bun.
- Serve hot with fries, chips, or slaw on the side. Enjoy!
Notes
- For extra heat, add a dash of hot sauce or cayenne to the shrimp mixture or sauce.
- Patties can be air-fried or baked at 400°F for 15–18 minutes for a lighter option.
- Use fresh or frozen shrimp, but thaw and pat dry if using frozen.
- You can shape mini patties for sliders or serve the patties in lettuce wraps for a low-carb option.
