Description

Crispy Hot Chicken Salad Casserole is a warm, creamy dish with tender chicken, mixed vegetables, and a crispy topping, perfect for a hearty family meal.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 package (10 oz) frozen mixed vegetables, thawed
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 1/2 cups crushed crispy fried onions (like French’s)
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch casserole dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine shredded chicken, mayonnaise, sour cream, thawed mixed vegetables, cheddar cheese, celery, onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Transfer the mixture to the prepared casserole dish and spread evenly.
  4. In a small bowl, mix crushed crispy fried onions with melted butter.
  5. Sprinkle the onion mixture evenly over the top of the casserole.
  6. Bake uncovered for 30-35 minutes until the top is golden brown and casserole is heated through.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving.
