Description

These Crispy Parmesan Potato Wedges are the perfect blend of cheesy and crunchy, making them an irresistible snack or side dish. Baked to golden perfection and seasoned with garlic and smoked paprika, they are sure to please any crowd!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large Yukon Gold or Russet potatoes, washed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (panko works well for extra crispiness)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  • Cut the Potatoes: Slice each potato into wedges (about 8 wedges per potato). Place the wedges in a large bowl and toss with olive oil until well coated.
  • Season the Wedges: In a small bowl, mix together the Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, smoked paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper. Toss the potato wedges in the Parmesan mixture, ensuring each wedge is evenly coated.
  • Arrange on Baking Sheet: Spread the seasoned wedges in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, skin-side down for optimal crispiness.
  • Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the wedges are golden brown and crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside. Flip halfway through for even crispiness.
  • Garnish and Serve: Remove the wedges from the oven and let them cool for a couple of minutes. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and additional Parmesan if desired. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding fresh herbs or spices to the breadcrumb mixture.
