Description

Crock Pot Ranch Chicken Sandwiches are the ultimate easy and flavorful weeknight meal! Tender, shredded chicken cooked in a creamy ranch seasoning mix, all piled onto soft buns for a delicious and satisfying sandwich. Perfect for busy days, this recipe requires minimal prep and delivers maximum flavor. Serve it with your favorite side for a complete meal!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix (dry)
  • 1 cup cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing (optional for extra creaminess)
  • 1 tablespoon butter (optional, for extra richness)
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth (or water)
  • 68 sandwich buns (brioche or your choice)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts at the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. Sprinkle the ranch seasoning mix evenly over the chicken breasts.
  3. Add the softened cream cheese, ranch dressing (if using), butter, and chicken broth to the slow cooker.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
  5. Once cooked, shred the chicken with two forks directly in the slow cooker, stirring the ranch sauce into the chicken until fully coated.
  6. Taste the mixture and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper, if needed.
  7. Toast the sandwich buns if desired and spoon the creamy ranch chicken mixture onto each bun.
  8. Serve warm, and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

  • You can adjust the creaminess by adding more ranch dressing or cream cheese based on your preference.
  • If you prefer a spicier version, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or some hot sauce.
  • These sandwiches also make great leftovers and can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • For a low-carb version, serve the ranch chicken mixture over lettuce or in a lettuce wrap instead of buns.
