Crock Pot Strawberry and Cream Oatmeal is a warm, comforting breakfast made with steel-cut oats, sweet strawberries, and a creamy finish. It’s the perfect make-ahead morning meal that’s both healthy and delicious.

- 1 cup steel-cut oats
- 3 cups water
- 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries, chopped
- 1/4 cup maple syrup or honey
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup heavy cream or half-and-half (for serving)
- Additional strawberries and cream (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Grease the inside of the Crock Pot with a bit of butter or non-stick spray to prevent sticking.
- In the Crock Pot, combine the steel-cut oats, water, milk, strawberries, maple syrup (or honey), vanilla extract, and salt.
- Stir everything together and cover with the lid.
- Cook on low for 6–8 hours overnight, or on high for 3–4 hours until the oats are tender and creamy.
- Stir well before serving. Pour a bit of cream or half-and-half over each serving and top with additional strawberries if desired.
Notes
- For extra richness, stir in a pat of butter or a spoonful of cream cheese before serving.
- Adjust the sweetness by increasing or decreasing the maple syrup or honey to taste.
- This recipe is great with other berries like blueberries or raspberries.
- Leftovers can be refrigerated and reheated with a splash of milk.
