Description

Crockpot BBQ Meatballs are a delicious, easy-to-make appetizer or main dish. Tender, juicy meatballs are slow-cooked in a rich and tangy BBQ sauce, making them perfect for parties, family dinners, or game day. The slow cooker does all the work, leaving you with a mouthwatering dish that’s sure to please everyone.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (or a mix of beef and pork)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional, for sweetness)
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (optional, for tang)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, milk, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until everything is well combined.
  2. Shape the meat mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them in the bottom of the crockpot.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the BBQ sauce, Worcestershire sauce, honey, and apple cider vinegar. Pour the sauce over the meatballs in the crockpot, making sure they’re evenly coated.
  4. Cover the crockpot with the lid and cook on low for 4-6 hours, or on high for 2-3 hours, until the meatballs are cooked through and tender.
  5. Once cooked, serve the meatballs with extra BBQ sauce on the side for dipping, if desired.

Notes

  • If you’d like, you can use frozen pre-cooked meatballs as a shortcut. Just add them to the crockpot and pour the BBQ sauce over them. Cook on low for 2-3 hours.
  • For a spicier kick, add a few dashes of hot sauce to the BBQ sauce mixture.
  • Serve with toothpicks for easy party appetizers, or over rice or mashed potatoes for a hearty meal.
