Description

Crockpot Steak Bites are a mouthwatering, easy-to-make dish that’s perfect for busy nights when you want a flavorful and tender meal with minimal effort. The steak pieces are slow-cooked to perfection in a savory blend of seasonings, resulting in melt-in-your-mouth bites that are juicy and full of flavor. Serve them as an appetizer, over rice, or alongside your favorite vegetables for a complete meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 lbs sirloin steak or ribeye, cut into bite-sized cubes

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 onion, chopped

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/2 cup beef broth

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)

  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar (optional for extra depth of flavor)

  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary

  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme

  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Steak:
Cut the steak into bite-sized cubes. Pat the steak cubes dry with a paper towel and season with salt and pepper.

  2. Sear the Steak (Optional):
For extra flavor, heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak cubes for 2-3 minutes per side until browned. This step adds more flavor but can be skipped if you’re short on time.

  3. Add Ingredients to the Crockpot:
Place the seared steak cubes (or raw if skipping the searing step) into the crockpot. Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, beef broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, balsamic vinegar, rosemary, thyme, and paprika.

  4. Cook in the Crockpot:
Stir everything to combine. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours, or on high for 2-3 hours, until the steak is tender and the flavors have melded together.

  5. Optional Thickening:
If you prefer a thicker sauce, mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with 1 tablespoon of water to make a slurry. Stir this mixture into the crockpot in the last 30 minutes of cooking and let it cook for the remaining time.

  6. Serve:
Once the steak is cooked and the sauce has thickened, serve the steak bites with the sauce. Garnish with fresh parsley and enjoy!

Notes

  • Add Vegetables: You can add vegetables like carrots, bell peppers, or mushrooms to the crockpot for a one-pot meal.

  • Rice or Noodles: Serve these steak bites over rice, mashed potatoes, or noodles to complete the meal.

  • Spicy Kick: Add a dash of red pepper flakes or hot sauce for some spice.

  • Leftovers: Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat on the stovetop or in the microwave.
