Ingredients
Scale
- 1 large cucumber, peeled and chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 2 tablespoons agave syrup or sugar (adjust to taste)
- 4 cups cold water
- Ice cubes
- Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)
- Extra lime wedges (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Place the chopped cucumber, lime juice, agave syrup (or sugar), and cold water in a blender.
- Blend until smooth, about 30-60 seconds.
- Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a large pitcher to remove any pulp (optional, if you prefer a smooth liquid).
- Stir well and taste. If needed, adjust sweetness with more agave syrup or sugar.
- Serve the agua fresca over ice and garnish with fresh mint leaves and lime wedges, if desired.
Notes
- If you prefer a stronger cucumber flavor, you can leave some cucumber pulp in the drink or reduce the water slightly.
- For a more vibrant color and flavor, you can add a small piece of fresh ginger to the blender.
- For an adult version, add a splash of tequila or rum for a refreshing cocktail.
