Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pint Vanilla Ice Cream (or your favorite flavor)
- 1 pint Red Velvet Ice Cream (or you can use strawberry or any other flavor of your choice)
- 1/2 cup Red Velvet Cake Mix (or crumbled red velvet cake)
- 1/4 cup White Chocolate Chips
- 1/4 cup Mini Chocolate Chips
- Heart-shaped sprinkles (optional, for decoration)
Instructions
- Prepare the Ice Cream:
- Allow both the vanilla and red velvet ice cream to soften slightly at room temperature for about 10 minutes, making them easier to scoop and layer.
- Prepare the Red Velvet Cake Mix (if using cake):
- If you prefer to use crumbled red velvet cake instead of cake mix, bake the red velvet cake according to the box instructions, and once cooled, crumble it into small pieces.
- If using cake mix, you can simply sprinkle it on top as a layer or mix it with a little melted butter for texture.
- Layer the Ice Cream:
- In a baking dish or individual cups, layer scoops of vanilla ice cream and red velvet ice cream. Alternate between the two flavors to create a marbled effect, adding a fun swirl pattern.
- Gently swirl them together for a soft mix, or keep the layers distinct, depending on your preference.
- Add the Cake Crumbles or Cake Mix:
- Sprinkle a layer of red velvet cake crumbles or cake mix over the top of the ice cream. Gently press it down into the ice cream for better adherence.
- Add the Chocolate Chips:
- Sprinkle mini chocolate chips and white chocolate chips over the ice cream for added texture and sweetness.
- Freeze the Treats:
- Cover the dish with plastic wrap or a lid and place it in the freezer for at least 2-3 hours to firm up.
- Serve and Garnish:
- Once frozen and firm, scoop the ice cream into bowls or serve directly from the dish. Top with heart-shaped sprinkles or any other Valentine-themed decorations to add a festive touch.
- Enjoy:
- Serve immediately and enjoy the sweet, creamy, and romantic treat with your loved ones!
Notes
- You can substitute the red velvet ice cream with strawberry ice cream or any flavor of your choice.
- If you’d like to add a little extra flair, consider adding a drizzle of chocolate or caramel sauce on top before serving.
- These can also be made in individual serving cups for easier portion control or for a fun presentation.
