Description

These Dark Chocolate & Blueberry Frozen Yogurt Bites are a delicious, healthy, and refreshing treat. With the rich flavor of dark chocolate and the tart sweetness of blueberries, these bite-sized snacks are perfect for a cooling, guilt-free indulgence!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (or vanilla yogurt for sweetness)
  • 1/2 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips (or chopped dark chocolate)
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional, for added sweetness)
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract (optional, for flavor enhancement)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Yogurt Base:
In a medium bowl, combine the Greek yogurt with honey (if using) and vanilla extract (if using). Stir until smooth and well combined.
  2. Prepare the Blueberries:
Gently fold the fresh blueberries into the yogurt mixture, making sure they are evenly distributed.
  3. Form the Yogurt Bites:
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Using a spoon or small cookie scoop, drop spoonfuls of the yogurt and blueberry mixture onto the parchment paper, creating bite-sized rounds. You can make them as small or large as you prefer.
  4. Melt the Dark Chocolate:
Place the dark chocolate chips or chopped dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.
  5. Dip in Chocolate:
Using a spoon or fork, dip each yogurt bite into the melted dark chocolate, allowing any excess chocolate to drip off. Place the chocolate-dipped yogurt bites back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. Freeze the Bites:
Once all the bites are dipped, place the baking sheet in the freezer and freeze for at least 2 hours or until the yogurt bites are fully frozen.
  7. Serve:
Once frozen, remove the yogurt bites from the parchment paper and store them in an airtight container in the freezer. Serve immediately or store in the freezer until ready to enjoy!

Notes

  • You can substitute the blueberries with other fruits like raspberries, strawberries, or blackberries for different flavor variations.
  • For added texture, sprinkle crushed nuts or granola on top of the yogurt before dipping in chocolate.
  • If you prefer sweeter bites, use vanilla yogurt or add more honey or maple syrup to the yogurt base.
