- Prepare the Waffle Batter:

- Fold in the finely chopped semi-sweet chocolate.
- Whip the Egg Whites:
- In a clean bowl, use a hand mixer to beat the egg whites until soft peaks form.
- Gently fold the whipped egg whites into the waffle batter, being careful not to deflate them.
- Cook the Waffles:
- Heat and grease your waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Add the batter to the waffle iron and cook until the waffles are done. Cooking time may vary depending on the waffle maker.
- Add the Peeps:
- Top the hot waffles with marshmallow Peeps right before serving. For layered waffles, let them cool completely before adding Peeps to prevent melting.
- Serve:
- Serve the waffles immediately for a spooky, marshmallowy treat. If needed, reheat waffles in a 200°F oven for a few minutes to soften the marshmallows.
