Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually blend this dry mixture into the creamed mixture until just combined.
  • Stir in the chopped candied fruit, nuts, raisins, cinnamon, and nutmeg until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  • Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly browned.
  • Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
