Description

Ingredients

  • 1 bag of large marshmallows
  • 1 cup pancake mix
  • 1/2 cup water (adjust to make a thick batter)
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • Oil for frying (vegetable or canola oil)
  • Powdered sugar or cinnamon sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Batter: In a bowl, mix the pancake mix with water and vanilla extract until you achieve a thick, smooth batter that coats the marshmallows well.
  • Heat the Oil: In a deep fryer or heavy-bottomed pot, heat oil to about 350°F (175°C), ensuring enough oil to fully submerge the marshmallows.
  • Coat the Marshmallows: Dip each marshmallow into the batter, ensuring it’s fully covered.
  • Fry the Marshmallows: Carefully place the battered marshmallows into the hot oil, frying for about 20-30 seconds until golden brown and crispy.
  • Drain and Dust: Remove with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels to drain. Dust with powdered sugar or cinnamon sugar while warm.
  • Serve Warm: Enjoy immediately while they are warm and gooey
