Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 lb small shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup Alfredo sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella or Italian blend cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 8–10 small flour tortillas (street taco size)
- Oil, for deep frying
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add shrimp, season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook until pink and opaque, about 3–4 minutes. Remove from heat.
- Stir Alfredo sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan into the shrimp until well coated.
- Place a spoonful of the shrimp Alfredo mixture into each tortilla. Roll tightly into small burrito shapes and secure with toothpicks if needed.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or heavy pan to 350°F (175°C).
- Carefully lower burrito bites into the hot oil in batches. Fry for 2–3 minutes or until golden and crispy.
- Drain on paper towels and remove toothpicks before serving.
- Serve hot with extra Alfredo sauce or marinara for dipping.
Notes
- You can use pre-cooked shrimp to speed up prep time.
- To make it less spicy, omit the red pepper flakes.
- Use toothpicks to secure the rolls for frying, but always remove before serving.
- Homemade Alfredo sauce can enhance flavor significantly.
