Description

These indulgent deep-fried s’mores bring all the fun of the classic campfire treat with a crispy twist! Gooey marshmallows, melted chocolate, and a crunchy exterior make for a mouthwatering dessert that’s sure to impress at your next gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 graham cracker sheets, broken into halves
  • 6 large marshmallows
  • 6 small pieces of milk chocolate (or chocolate bars, broken into small pieces)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 egg
  • ¾ cup milk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Assemble the S’mores:
Place a piece of chocolate on a half graham cracker sheet, top with a marshmallow, and cover with another graham cracker sheet to create a s’more sandwich. Repeat for all 6 pieces.

  2. Prepare the Batter:
In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, egg, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.

  3. Heat the Oil:
Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).

  4. Coat the S’mores:
Dip each assembled s’more into the batter, ensuring it is fully coated.

  5. Fry the S’mores:
Carefully drop the battered s’mores into the hot oil and fry for about 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Remove from oil and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.

  6. Serve:
Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm.

Notes

  • Make sure the oil is at the right temperature for crispy s’mores. If it’s too hot, the batter will burn before the inside melts.
  • You can use dark chocolate or peanut butter cups for an extra twist!
