These Deep-Fried S’mores Ravioli are a fun and indulgent twist on the classic s’mores treat! Crunchy on the outside with a gooey marshmallow and chocolate filling, they’re served with a rich chocolate dipping sauce. Perfect for dessert lovers and a hit at parties or any special occasion!
Ingredients
For the Ravioli:
-
2 sheets of wonton wrappers (about 20 wrappers total)
-
1/2 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate)
-
1/2 cup mini marshmallows
-
2 tablespoons graham cracker crumbs
-
1 egg (for egg wash)
-
Vegetable oil, for frying (enough to submerge the ravioli)
For the Chocolate Dipping Sauce:
-
1/2 cup heavy cream
-
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
-
1 tablespoon butter
-
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions
-
1. Prepare the Chocolate Dipping Sauce:
-
In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it begins to simmer (do not boil).
-
Remove from heat and stir in the chocolate chips, butter, and vanilla extract (if using). Stir until smooth and the sauce is fully combined. Set aside to cool slightly while you prepare the ravioli.
2. Assemble the Ravioli:
-
Place one wonton wrapper on a clean surface.
-
In the center of each wrapper, add about 1 teaspoon of chocolate chips, 1 tablespoon of mini marshmallows, and a pinch of graham cracker crumbs.
-
Wet the edges of the wonton wrapper with a little bit of water.
-
Place another wonton wrapper on top and press the edges to seal, making sure there are no air pockets. You can use a fork to crimp the edges for a decorative touch and to ensure they are sealed tightly.
3. Fry the Ravioli:
-
Heat the vegetable oil in a deep pan or fryer to 350°F (175°C).
-
Carefully drop the ravioli into the hot oil, working in batches if necessary. Fry for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
-
Use a slotted spoon to remove the ravioli from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
4. Serve the Ravioli:
-
Dust the fried ravioli with powdered sugar (optional) for a sweet finishing touch.
-
Serve the crispy, gooey ravioli with the warm chocolate dipping sauce on the side.
-
Notes
-
Make sure to seal the ravioli tightly to prevent the filling from leaking during frying.
-
You can also add peanut butter chips or a bit of caramel to the filling for a unique twist!
-
If you don’t have a deep fryer, you can fry the ravioli in a deep skillet or pan with enough oil to cover the ravioli halfway.
-
For a healthier version, you can bake the ravioli in the oven at 375°F (190°C) for about 10-12 minutes or until golden and crispy, though they won’t be as crispy as when fried.
