Description

This comforting Banana Malva Pudding combines the sweetness of ripe bananas with a rich creamy sauce. Baked to perfection, it’s a delightful dessert that melts in your mouth, perfect for any occasion.

For the Pudding:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup mashed ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp vinegar

For the Sauce:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup cream
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a baking dish.
  • In a bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the mashed bananas, milk, eggs, melted butter, vanilla extract, and vinegar. Combine the wet and dry ingredients until smooth.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared dish and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • For the sauce, combine the sugar, water, and cream in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Pour the sauce over the pudding while still warm and serve.
