For the Pudding:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup mashed ripe bananas
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp vinegar
For the Sauce:
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup cream
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a baking dish.
- In a bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the mashed bananas, milk, eggs, melted butter, vanilla extract, and vinegar. Combine the wet and dry ingredients until smooth.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared dish and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown.
- For the sauce, combine the sugar, water, and cream in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Pour the sauce over the pudding while still warm and serve.
