Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken:

    • If the chicken breasts are thick, you can slice them horizontally to create thinner pieces for even cooking.
  2. Season the Chicken:

    • In a small bowl, combine the oregano, thyme, paprika, salt, and pepper. Rub the seasoning mixture over both sides of the chicken breasts.
  3. Cook the Chicken:

    • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the chicken breasts and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 165ยฐF or 75ยฐC). Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.
  4. Make the Garlic Sauce:

    • In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the butter. Let it melt and stir in the minced garlic. Cook for 1-2 minutes until the garlic becomes fragrant and golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
    • Add the chicken broth and lemon juice to the skillet, scraping the bottom of the pan to release any flavor-packed brown bits. Let the sauce simmer for 3-4 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  5. Combine and Serve:

    • Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning some of the garlic sauce over the chicken. Let it simmer in the sauce for another 2-3 minutes to absorb the flavors.
