Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken:

    • If the chicken breasts are thick, you can slice them horizontally to create thinner pieces for even cooking.
  2. Season the Chicken:

    • In a small bowl, combine the oregano, thyme, paprika, salt, and pepper. Rub the seasoning mixture over both sides of the chicken breasts.
  3. Cook the Chicken:

    • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the chicken breasts and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 75°C). Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.

    • In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the butter. Let it melt and stir in the minced garlic. Cook for 1-2 minutes until the garlic becomes fragrant and golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
    • Add the chicken broth and lemon juice to the skillet, scraping the bottom of the pan to release any flavor-packed brown bits. Let the sauce simmer for 3-4 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  5. Combine and Serve:

    • Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning some of the garlic sauce over the chicken. Let it simmer in the sauce for another 2-3 minutes to absorb the flavors.
