Description

These Dill Pickle & Cheese Ritz Bites are a savory and satisfying snack, perfect for any occasion. With the perfect balance of tangy dill pickle, creamy cheese, and the crunch of Ritz crackers, these bite-sized treats are a crowd favorite. Quick and easy to make, they’re the ideal snack for parties or a simple appetizer for your next gathering!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package Ritz crackers
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon dried dill weed (or 1 teaspoon fresh dill, finely chopped)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1215 dill pickle slices, chopped
  • Fresh cracked black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: additional dill pickle slices for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cheese mixture: In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, dill weed, garlic powder, onion powder, and a pinch of black pepper. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well-combined.
  2. Add pickles: Chop the dill pickle slices into small pieces and fold them into the cheese mixture. Make sure the pickles are evenly distributed throughout.
  3. Assemble the bites: Spread a small amount of the cream cheese and pickle mixture onto each Ritz cracker. Be generous, but ensure the mixture stays contained within the edges of the cracker.
  4. Garnish (optional): If desired, place a small slice of dill pickle on top of each bite for extra flavor and a decorative touch.
  5. Serve: Arrange the Dill Pickle & Cheese Ritz Bites on a serving platter and serve immediately. Enjoy!

Notes

  • If you prefer a little more crunch, you can add a sprinkle of finely chopped nuts, like pecans or almonds, to the cheese mixture.
  • These can be made ahead of time and stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
  • For a lighter version, you can substitute reduced-fat cream cheese or Greek yogurt for the cream cheese.
