Description
This Dill Pickle Grilled Cheese combines the classic comfort of a grilled cheese sandwich with the tangy crunch of dill pickles for an irresistible flavor combination. Perfect for pickle lovers!
Ingredients
-
2 slices of bread (preferably sourdough or your favorite type)
-
2 tbsp butter
-
2 slices of cheese (cheddar, American, or your favorite cheese)
-
4–6 dill pickle slices (or more, to taste)
-
1 tbsp mayonnaise (optional, for extra creaminess)
Instructions
-
Prepare the Bread: Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread. If using mayonnaise, spread it on the opposite side of the bread.
-
Assemble the Sandwich: Place one slice of cheese on the unbuttered side of one piece of bread. Layer with dill pickle slices, then top with the second slice of cheese.
-
Grill the Sandwich: Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Place the sandwich, buttered side down, on the skillet and grill for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown. Flip the sandwich and grill the other side for another 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden.
-
Serve and Enjoy: Remove from the skillet, slice, and serve immediately.
Notes
-
You can use any cheese that melts well, such as mozzarella, provolone, or gouda, depending on your preference.
-
Add more or fewer pickle slices based on how tangy you like your sandwich.
-
For a twist, try adding a touch of mustard or hot sauce for extra flavor.
