Description

Disney Churro Bites are the perfect bite-sized version of the beloved theme park snack! These fluffy, cinnamon-sugar-coated dough balls are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, making them a fun and delicious treat for everyone. Inspired by the churros you find at Disney parks, these easy-to-make churro bites bring the magic home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup water

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter

  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 2 large eggs

  • Vegetable oil (for frying)

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for coating)

  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough:

    • In a medium saucepan, combine water, butter, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally to melt the butter.

    • Once the mixture boils, remove it from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.

    • Gradually add the flour and stir until the mixture forms a dough. Let the dough cool for 5-10 minutes.

  2. Add the Eggs:

    • Once the dough has cooled slightly, add the eggs one at a time, stirring vigorously after each addition. The dough should become smooth and thick.

  3. Heat the Oil:

    • Heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil in a large pot or deep fryer to 375°F (190°C).

  4. Fry the Churro Bites:

    • Use a small spoon or a cookie scoop to carefully drop small spoonfuls of the dough into the hot oil. Fry the churro bites in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pan.

    • Fry for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove the churro bites from the oil using a slotted spoon and drain on a plate lined with paper towels.

  5. Coat with Cinnamon-Sugar:

    • In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon.

    • While the churro bites are still warm, toss them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until fully coated.

  6. Serve:

    • Serve the churro bites immediately with a side of chocolate sauce or caramel for dipping, if desired. Enjoy your homemade Disney churro bites!

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, you can double fry the churro bites by frying them once until lightly golden, letting them cool for a minute, then frying them again until golden brown and crispy.

  • You can make these churro bites ahead of time and reheat them in the oven for 5-7 minutes at 350°F (175°C) to restore some crispiness.
