Description

Indulge in these iconic Disneyland Peanut Butter Squares—a copycat of the beloved park treat! Layers of graham crackers, creamy peanut butter, and rich chocolate make these bars irresistible. Perfect for parties, gifts, or a sweet craving.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 14 whole graham cracker sheets

  • 2 cups creamy peanut butter

  • 8 tablespoons (1 stick) butter, softened

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • 3½ cups powdered sugar

  • 4 tablespoons shortening

  • 4 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Prep Pan: Spray a 9×13-inch glass baking dish with non-stick spray.

  2. Crush Grahams: Place 2 graham cracker sheets in a Ziploc bag and crush into crumbs. Set aside.

  3. Peanut Butter Filling: Mix peanut butter, butter, vanilla, and salt. Gradually add powdered sugar until fully combined.

  4. Melt Chocolate: Microwave chocolate chips and shortening in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.

  5. First Layer: Lay 6 graham cracker sheets in the dish. Spread ⅓ of the chocolate over them.

  6. PB Layer: Flatten peanut butter mixture into patties and layer over chocolate, covering completely.

  7. Second Chocolate Layer: Spread another ⅓ of chocolate over the peanut butter.

  8. Final Layers: Add remaining 6 graham crackers, top with remaining chocolate, and sprinkle crushed crumbs on top.

  9. Chill: Refrigerate for 1+ hour before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • Storage: Keep refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 1 week.

  • Substitutions: Use almond butter for a nut-free version, or coconut oil instead of shortening.

  • Tip: For cleaner cuts, warm the knife under hot water before slicing.
