Description

These rich and decadent Dr. Pepper Brownies are infused with the sweet, fizzy flavor of the iconic soda, making them a unique and indulgent treat. Perfect for any occasion, these brownies are sure to impress!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup Dr. Pepper soda
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional, for extra richness)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a baking pan (9×9-inch or similar).
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine Dr. Pepper and melted butter. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture begins to bubble and reduce by about half (around 10 minutes).
  3. In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  4. Slowly pour the reduced Dr. Pepper and butter mixture into the sugar and egg mixture, stirring until well combined.
  5. In another bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until fully incorporated.
  6. Stir in chocolate chips, if using.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool in the pan before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes

  • These brownies are best served chilled or at room temperature for the ultimate fudgy texture.
  • For an extra burst of Dr. Pepper flavor, you can drizzle some reduced soda over the top before serving.

  • You can add nuts or marshmallows for variation if you like.
