Description

These Easter Cake Mix Cookie Bars are the easiest and most festive dessert for your holiday celebrations! Using cake mix as the base, these bars are soft, chewy, and topped with colorful sprinkles and Easter candies. Perfect for a springtime treat or a quick addition to your Easter dessert table!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) white cake mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1/2 cup Easter-themed M&M’s or other colorful candy
  • 1/4 cup sprinkles (preferably pastel colors for Easter)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

  2. Mix the ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract. Stir until fully incorporated and smooth. If you’re using chocolate chips, fold them in at this stage.

  3. Add candy and sprinkles: Gently fold in the Easter-themed M&M’s and a handful of sprinkles into the cookie dough batter. Reserve some M&M’s and sprinkles to top the bars before baking.

  4. Spread in pan: Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly to cover the bottom of the pan.

  5. Add toppings: Sprinkle the remaining M&M’s and sprinkles over the top of the cookie dough to add a festive touch.

  6. Bake: Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. The bars should be soft but set in the middle.

  7. Cool and serve: Allow the cookie bars to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares. Enjoy your colorful and fun Easter Cake Mix Cookie Bars!

Notes

  • You can substitute the M&M’s with other Easter-themed candies like Reese’s Pieces, jelly beans, or mini marshmallows.
  • If you prefer a thicker cookie bar, you can use a smaller pan (such as 8×8 inches), but you will need to adjust the baking time slightly (increase the time by 5-10 minutes).
  • You can also add 1/2 cup of chopped nuts or dried fruit for extra texture, if desired.
