Description

These Easter Egg Rice Krispie Treats are a festive twist on the classic treat! Perfect for spring celebrations and Easter gatherings. Made with buttery marshmallows, crunchy Rice Krispies, and colorful pastel sprinkles, these treats are a fun and delicious way to celebrate the season!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 package (10 oz) mini marshmallows
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • ½ cup pastel sprinkles (plus extra for decoration)
  • Non-stick cooking spray (for shaping)

Instructions

  1. Melt the Butter and Marshmallows:
In a large pot, melt the butter over low heat. Add the mini marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth. Remove from heat.

  2. Mix in Cereal:
Stir the Rice Krispies cereal into the melted marshmallow mixture until well combined. Gently fold in the pastel sprinkles.

  3. Shape into Eggs:
Lightly coat your hands with non-stick cooking spray. Scoop about ¼ cup of the mixture and shape it into an egg shape. Place the shaped treats on a parchment-lined tray.

  4. Decorate:
Press additional pastel sprinkles gently onto the surface of each egg for decoration.

  5. Set:
Allow the treats to cool and set for 15-20 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For best results, let the treats cool completely before handling to avoid them becoming too sticky.
  • You can also use cookie cutters in the shape of eggs to press out uniform shapes.
  • For extra fun, add mini chocolate eggs or candy inside each treat.
