Description
Easy Chocolate Oreo Delight is a no-bake dessert that layers creamy chocolate pudding, whipped topping, and crunchy Oreo cookies for a sweet, indulgent treat. It’s perfect for parties, potlucks, or whenever you’re craving a quick and delicious dessert!
Ingredients
- 1 (15.25 oz) package Oreo cookies (divided)
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 (8 oz) container whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
- 2 (3.4 oz) packages instant chocolate pudding mix
- 3 ½ cups milk
- 1 cup chocolate chips (optional, for topping)
Instructions
-
Prepare the Oreo Base:
Crush about half of the Oreo cookies into crumbs (you can use a food processor or place them in a plastic bag and crush them with a rolling pin).
Spread the crushed Oreos evenly in the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish. This will serve as your base layer. -
Make the Cream Cheese Layer:
In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth and well-combined.
Fold in the whipped topping until the mixture is light and fluffy.
Spread this cream cheese mixture over the crushed Oreo base, smoothing it out evenly. -
Prepare the Chocolate Pudding Layer:
In a separate bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mixes and milk. Stir for 2 minutes or until the pudding thickens.
Pour the pudding mixture over the cream cheese layer, spreading it evenly with a spatula. -
Top with Oreos and Chocolate Chips:
Crush the remaining Oreo cookies and sprinkle them over the chocolate pudding layer for added crunch and flavor.
If desired, sprinkle chocolate chips on top for extra richness. -
Chill the Dessert:
Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow the layers to set and the flavors to meld together. -
Serve:
Once chilled, slice and serve your Easy Chocolate Oreo Delight. Enjoy the creamy, crunchy layers in every bite!
Notes
- For a twist, you can substitute the chocolate pudding with vanilla or cheesecake-flavored pudding.
- If you prefer a sweeter topping, you can drizzle hot fudge or caramel sauce over the dessert before serving.
- The dessert can be made a day ahead for convenience, as it only improves in flavor the longer it sits in the fridge.
