Description

  • This Easy Cream Puff Dessert is a decadent, crowd-pleasing treat made with a light and airy cream puff crust, a rich vanilla pudding filling, and topped with fluffy whipped topping and chocolate drizzle. It’s a no-fuss, elegant dessert perfect for holidays, potlucks, or just because!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup water

  • ½ cup butter

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 4 eggs

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened

  • 4 cups milk, divided

  • 3 (3.4-ounce) packages Instant French Vanilla Pudding

  • 8 ounces whipped topping (like Cool Whip), defrosted

  • Chocolate syrup (like Hershey’s), as needed

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F and lightly coat a 13×9-inch baking pan with non-stick spray.

  2. Make the cream puff crust: In a saucepan over medium heat, combine water and butter. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat and stir in flour until a soft ball forms.

  3. Transfer dough to a mixing bowl; let it cool for 5 minutes.

  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly between each. Mix until smooth.

  5. Spread dough evenly into the prepared baking dish. Bake 20–23 minutes until golden and puffed. Cool completely.

  6. Prepare the filling: Beat softened cream cheese and 1 cup milk until smooth. Add remaining milk and pudding mix, beat until thickened.

  7. Spread pudding over cooled crust. Top with whipped topping and smooth evenly.

  8. Chill for at least 1 hour or overnight.

  9. Drizzle with chocolate syrup before serving.

Notes

  • Make sure cream cheese is softened to avoid lumps.

  • You can swap French vanilla pudding with regular vanilla or cheesecake flavor.

  • Garnish with shaved chocolate or fresh berries for extra flair.
