Ingredients
-
1 cup water
-
½ cup butter
-
1 cup all-purpose flour
-
4 eggs
-
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
-
4 cups milk, divided
-
3 (3.4-ounce) packages Instant French Vanilla Pudding
-
8 ounces whipped topping (like Cool Whip), defrosted
-
Chocolate syrup (like Hershey’s), as needed
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 400°F and lightly coat a 13×9-inch baking pan with non-stick spray.
-
Make the cream puff crust: In a saucepan over medium heat, combine water and butter. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat and stir in flour until a soft ball forms.
-
Transfer dough to a mixing bowl; let it cool for 5 minutes.
-
Add eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly between each. Mix until smooth.
-
Spread dough evenly into the prepared baking dish. Bake 20–23 minutes until golden and puffed. Cool completely.
-
Prepare the filling: Beat softened cream cheese and 1 cup milk until smooth. Add remaining milk and pudding mix, beat until thickened.
-
Spread pudding over cooled crust. Top with whipped topping and smooth evenly.
-
Chill for at least 1 hour or overnight.
-
Drizzle with chocolate syrup before serving.
Notes
-
Make sure cream cheese is softened to avoid lumps.
-
You can swap French vanilla pudding with regular vanilla or cheesecake flavor.
-
Garnish with shaved chocolate or fresh berries for extra flair.
