Description
A refreshing and light beverage made with green tea and the crisp sweetness of apple juice. Perfect for a cool, healthy drink on a hot day or as a flavorful alternative to sugary sodas.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 green tea bags
- 2 cups hot water
- 1 cup apple juice (preferably fresh or 100% pure apple juice)
- 1 tbsp honey (optional, for added sweetness)
- Ice cubes
- Apple slices for garnish (optional)
- Mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Bring 2 cups of water to a boil, then remove from heat. Add the green tea bags and steep for about 3–5 minutes, depending on how strong you like your tea.
- Remove the tea bags and let the tea cool to room temperature, or place it in the fridge to speed up the process.
- Once cooled, stir in the apple juice and honey (if using). Adjust sweetness to taste by adding more honey if desired.
- Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the iced apple green tea over the ice.
- Garnish with apple slices and mint leaves if desired. Serve chilled and enjoy!
Notes
- For a more intense apple flavor, you can substitute apple juice with fresh apple cider.
- If you prefer a stronger tea flavor, steep the green tea for a few more minutes.
- For a twist, you can add a squeeze of lemon juice or a dash of cinnamon.
- Can be made ahead: Prepare the tea and refrigerate it for up to 2 days. Serve over ice when ready.
