Description

This Easy Sausage Dip is the ultimate crowd-pleaser! Made with sausage, cream cheese, and melted cheese, it’s creamy, savory, and full of bold flavors. Perfect for any occasion, whether you’re hosting a party, enjoying game day, or just craving a tasty, cheesy snack. It’s super easy to make and pairs perfectly with chips, crackers, or veggies!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (16 oz) sausage (breakfast sausage or Italian sausage, whichever you prefer)

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 1/2 cup sour cream

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 1 tablespoon taco seasoning or 1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional for added flavor)

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder

  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions (optional, for garnish)

  • Tortilla chips, crackers, or vegetable sticks for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook the Sausage:
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage, breaking it apart as it cooks. Stir occasionally and cook until the sausage is fully browned and no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess grease.

  2. Make the Dip Base:
Reduce the heat to low and add the cream cheese to the skillet with the cooked sausage. Stir until the cream cheese is fully melted and combined with the sausage.

  3. Add the Other Ingredients:
Add the sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, shredded mozzarella cheese, taco seasoning (if using), garlic powder, black pepper, and onion powder to the skillet. Stir everything together until the cheese is melted and the dip is creamy and well-mixed.

  4. Serve:
Once everything is melted and smooth, remove the dip from heat. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl, garnish with chopped green onions if desired, and serve with tortilla chips, crackers, or vegetable sticks.

Notes

  • Cheese Variations: Feel free to switch up the cheeses! You can use pepper jack cheese for a spicy kick or add some cream cheese for extra creaminess.

  • Spicy Version: Add some chopped jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce if you like your dip with a little heat.

  • Make Ahead: This dip can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge for up to 2 days. Simply reheat it in the microwave or on the stovetop before serving.
