Description

These Easy Strawberry Rice Krispie Treat Hearts are a fun and festive twist on the classic Rice Krispie treat, perfect for Valentine’s Day! Made with strawberry-flavored marshmallows and shaped into cute heart shapes, these treats are a sweet, no-bake treat to share with loved ones. Simple to make and irresistibly delicious, these treats will be a hit at any Valentine’s celebration!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies Cereal
  • 1 (10 oz) package Strawberry-Flavored Marshmallows
  • 3 tbsp Butter
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract (optional)
  • Red or Pink Sprinkles (optional, for decoration)
  • Cooking Spray (for greasing)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pan:
    • Lightly grease a baking pan (8×8-inch or 9×9-inch works well) with cooking spray, or line the pan with parchment paper for easy removal later.
  2. Melt the Marshmallows:
    • In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
    • Once the butter is melted, add the strawberry-flavored marshmallows and stir until fully melted and smooth. If desired, add 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract for extra flavor.
  3. Mix with Cereal:
    • Once the marshmallows are melted, remove the saucepan from the heat.
    • Immediately add the Rice Krispies cereal to the marshmallow mixture and stir until the cereal is fully coated.
  4. Press Into the Pan:
    • Pour the mixture into the prepared pan. Press it down firmly using a spatula or your hands (lightly greased with butter or cooking spray) to create an even layer.
  5. Cool and Cut into Hearts:
    • Allow the Rice Krispie treats to cool in the pan for about 10-15 minutes.
    • Once slightly cooled, use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut the treats into heart shapes. If the mixture is too sticky, lightly grease the cookie cutter with cooking spray.
  6. Decorate (Optional):
    • Once the heart shapes are cut out, you can decorate with red or pink sprinkles for an extra festive touch.
  7. Serve:
    • Serve the heart-shaped treats immediately, or store them in an airtight container for up to 3 days.

Notes

  • If you can’t find strawberry-flavored marshmallows, you can use regular marshmallows and add a few drops of red food coloring to achieve the pink color.
  • These treats are also perfect for kids to help with! Let them press the mixture into the pan and cut out the hearts.
  • For an extra touch, drizzle melted white chocolate over the hearts or dip the edges in melted chocolate and then sprinkle with festive decorations.
