- 10 ounces Rotel (or canned tomatoes with green chilies)

- ½ teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper (or to taste)
- 2 cups shredded cheese
- 32 ounces tater tots
Instructions
- Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Spray a 9×13 inch pan with nonstick cooking spray.
- Brown ground beef: In a nonstick pan over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef. Add the canned chili and Rotel, stirring to combine.
- Add seasonings: Incorporate cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper into the beef mixture.
- Layer casserole: Pour the ground beef mixture into the prepared baking dish. Top with 1 ½ cups of shredded cheese, then a single layer of frozen tater tots.
- Bake: Bake for 35 minutes. Remove from the oven, add the remaining ½ cup of cheese, and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
- Serve: Serve warm with desired chili toppings.
