Description

This quick and satisfying breakfast sandwich features crispy Eggo® waffles layered with a savory sausage patty, a perfectly cooked egg, and melted cheese. It’s an easy and delicious way to kick-start your day, perfect for busy mornings or a leisurely weekend brunch!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 Eggo® waffles (any variety)
  • 1 sausage patty (cooked)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 slice of cheese (cheddar, American, or your choice)
  • Butter or cooking spray (for cooking the egg)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Waffles: Toast the Eggo® waffles according to package instructions until golden and crispy.
  • Cook the Egg: In a small skillet, heat a little butter or cooking spray over medium heat. Crack the egg into the skillet and cook to your desired doneness (sunny-side up, over-easy, or scrambled). Add a slice of cheese on top during the last minute to melt.
  • Cook the Sausage: If the sausage patty isn’t pre-cooked, cook it in a skillet according to package instructions until fully cooked. If it’s pre-cooked, simply heat it in the microwave or skillet until warm.
  • Assemble the Sandwich: Layer the cooked sausage patty, the egg with melted cheese, and the second Eggo® waffle to create the sandwich.
  • Serve: Enjoy your Eggo® sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich warm! Feel free to add any additional toppings like hot sauce, ketchup, or avocado!

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider using flavored sausage patties (such as maple or spicy).
  • Experiment with different cheese varieties for unique tastes.
