- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
For the Frosting:
- 1/2 cup (113g) unsalted butter, softened
- 1/3 cup (30g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 2 cups (240g) powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven: Set the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- Combine wet ingredients: In a mixing bowl, mix the melted butter and cocoa powder together. Add the granulated sugar and eggs, stirring well to combine.
- Add dry ingredients: Stir in the vanilla extract, all-purpose flour, salt, and baking powder until just combined.
- Bake: Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Make frosting: In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Whisk in the cocoa powder, followed by the milk and vanilla extract. Gradually whisk in the powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
- Frost brownies: Once the brownies are completely cooled, spread the frosting evenly over the top.
