Description

Soft, chewy, and loaded with chocolate chips, these festive cookies are the perfect holiday treat! Sprinkled with red and green, they’re sure to bring Christmas cheer to any cookie plate


Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

 

  • 1/2 cup red and green sprinkles (or festive M&M’s)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Mix dry ingredients: Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Cream wet ingredients: Cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
  4. Combine wet and dry: Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips and sprinkles: Stir in chocolate chips and sprinkles.
  6. Shape and bake: Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets. Bake for 9-11 minutes, or until golden brown.
  7. Cool and enjoy: Let cool on baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For extra festive flair, consider using red and green food coloring to tint the dough.
